A-FRAME CABIN MEETS MODERN MINIMALISM
An A-Frame cabin originally built in the 1970s gets an update with a Modern Minimalistic style. This remodel included new heated slate tile floors throughout main living areas with a custom tile pattern to resemble falling leaves, inspired by the delicate wooded setting.
Lighting was also a huge component of this refresh, including Japanese paper-lantern inspired globes suspended over the main living space and a stunning hand-crafted "jellyfish" light above the sleeping loft.
The main floor bathroom was updated with new vanity and glass shower doors to brighten the space and provide more storage in this tiny home. Carpet was removed throughout the home and replaced with cork floors in sleeping areas for a cleaner, low-maintenance result. Carpeted stair treads were replaced with custom vertical grain fir treads creating an elegant transition between levels.
New paint throughout gave the final polish to this project with dark black and grey details on beams and stair railings to set off the natural wood ceilings.
